Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center might be gone, but it sure isn’t forgotten.
And by the look of things, it never will be.
For the third consecutive year, dozens of residents from the city and surrounding towns are expected to mark the anniversary of the 131-year-old hospital’s closure with a solemn commemorative gathering. This year’s event, again coordinated by the local Restore Muhlenberg Coalition and People’s Organization for Progress, is slated for 4:30 p.m. Saturday outside the hospital grounds at the intersection of Park Avenue and Randolph Road.
