VIDEO: PEOPLE’S ORGANIZATION FOR PROGRESS (POP) COMMEMORATED THE BIRTHDAY OF MALCOLM X WITH GLEN FORD, BLACK AGENDA REPORT

The People’s Organization For Progress (POP) will commemorate the birthday of Malcolm X (El Hajj Malik El Shabazz) on Thursday, May 20, 2010, 6:30 p.m. with guest speaker Glen Ford, of the Black Agenda Report at the Abyssinian Baptist Church 224 West Kinney Street in Newark, New Jersey.
“The People’s Organization for Progress celebrates the birthday of Malcolm X because of his tremendous contributions to and leadership of black people’s struggle for liberation in this country,” Hamm said. Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was assassinated on February 21, 1965 at the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem, New York.  Had he lived he would have been 83 years-old today.
