POP wants you as a member of our organization because we are stronger united than we are divided. Ultimately, it is not what we say about he issues and the problems in our communities, it is what we do about them that counts the most. You should join the People's Organization for Progress if you are ready to be part of an organization that takes action on issues that doesn't just talk about them?

Who Can Join POP?

It does not matter if you are rich or poor, young or old, skilled or unskilled. Your religious affiliation is not an issue with us. Anyone who supports the goals and activities of the organization can join POP. There's something for everyone to do in POP.

If I can Join POP How Much Time Do I have to Give?

Whether you have lots of spare time or hardly any time at all there's a place for you in the People's Organization for Progress. Members are encouraged to participate in all POP activities. However, each member is free to determine his or her own level of participation.

POP meets at 6:00 pm on Thursdays at Abyssinian Baptist Church, 224 West Kinney Street in Newark, NJ.
